SOAR Grant

The mission of SOAR is to provide programs, services, and equipment to improve the emotional and physical quality of life for people with disabilities, including families and individuals, by creating accessible, outdoor environments.

Details & Eligibility Requirements

This is a once a year grant issued by SOAR in the form of equipment and based on need. It is determined by a combination of at least two board or executives of SOAR.

Applicant must demonstrate financial need and request a specific piece of adaptive equipment or modification (e.g. wheelchair tires, vehicle hand controls, ramps, recreational/exercise equipment)
There is no age requirement
Applicants must reside in the United States
Grants typically range from $1,000 - $2,500; there is no minimum award
Applications are accepted year-round and reviewed quarterly.

1. Complete the Grant Application Below

Submit a fully completed application with requested details. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Include written quotes from at least two suppliers/contractors for the requested equipment or modifications.

2. Submit Your Application

3. Special Notes

No phone inquiries about application status due to high volume. Applicants will be notified by mail or phone once reviewed.
Grants are reviewed quarterly at Board meetings, and decisions are mailed afterward.
All submitted materials are non-returnable.
